Taking Auria

1. Have a current eye infection.

2. Use prescription eye drops to treat an eye infection.

3. Are under the age of 30.

4. Currently being treated for any type of cancer.

5. Are currently sick. We recommend taking Auria when you are feeling your healthiest.

6. Are not biologically female.

Remember: Auria will recommend you follow up with imaging, so if you have recently had a mammogram or other screening, insurance may not cover additional screening right away. This could be an out-of-pocket expense.

We do not have the research to support pregnant women taking Auria. Although the Schirmer strip would cause no harm, we do not know if the proteins would be elevated or not due to pregnancy.

If you are experiencing any eye infection (e.g., Acute conjunctivitis), please do not collect your sample until after your recommended treatment is completed.

Auria can be repeated as often as every 6 months. Regardless of a negative or clinically significant results, be sure to discuss next steps with your healthcare provider. If you feel a lump or have reason to worry, speak with your healthcare provider.

If you've completed treatment and now only have a yearly screening mammogram you are welcome to take Auria. If you are still following a high-risk screening protocol or are still being treated for breast cancer we recommend you follow the advice of your health care providers.

Our clinical data gathered during development and validation of Auria included women ages 30-87.

Auria can be taken at your convenience. We suggest taking Auria every 6 months as a complement to your regular screening.

Under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments regulations, testing varies by state and requires a written or electronic request for patient testing (42 CFR 493.124). Namida Lab works with a physician network to authorize all test requisitions in every state where we offer our testing kits.

No. The Auria test is not affected by birth control.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to conduct a study looking at our markers in women who were actively breast feeding. While we don’t think breast feeding would interfere with the markers, without concrete data it’s difficult to say whether the level of markers would affected.
